Ambassador of Thailand to China Arthayudh Srisamoot Visits the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum

Ambassador of Thailand to China Arthayudh Srisamoot and his entourage visited the Emperor Qinshihuangs Mausoleum Site Museum on Aug. 8. They visited Terracotta Army No.1 pit, No.2 pit, No.3 pit and bronze chariots exhibition hall.    

After entering the No.1 pit, Arthayudh faced the magnificent Qin Dynasty military array, and was amazed by the Terracotta Army. He took pictures with his phone. At the restoration site, Arthayudh learned about ways of excavation, restoration and protect and showed his admiration to people who are engaged in historical and antiquarian research. After visiting No.3 pit, he asked curiously:" Where is the Emperor Qinshihuangs mausoleum? Has it been stolen and broken?" The guide explained his questions one by one. When they came to the painted Bronze chariots, Arthayudh watched the No.2 chariot carefully and showed great interest to the craft.

During the one and a half hours' visit, Arthayudh talked with his entourage and kept an intense interest to terracotta army. At the end of the visit, he said,"Both Thailand and China have splendid cultures. 2020 is the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The bilateral relations have developed steadily. As the ties between Thailand and China are about to enter a new decade, I hope the two countries maintain perpetual friendship.
